This is the spring / fall version of our Outdoor Cat Hut. It’s got insulated walls, carpeted walls, fits an electric heating pad. It includes panoramic-esque viewing out of the front, and a frontal escape as the window flips up quickly and easily. Can be modified for winter.
Didn’t have a lot of floorspace in this Brooklyn townhome so to get the cats up and active we stacked some cat trees on some furniture and provided branches and window seats for cats to feel elevated, get exercise, and stare out the window at birds and traffic.
Added stairs over the tunnel, a tunnel from the window unit–and saved time and money by just using a removable / washable playpen for the chamber. The window unit has a lockable door to lock at night so predators cats aren’t in second chamber at night.
Cats were escaping out this back door of our Client’s house as she transitioned through it. By adding a vestibule with an extra door she could better control cats and predator’s access to her back door / backyard. Generally a $1,500 project
4 Shelf window unit w/ an interior / exterior removable weatherproof pass-through. $2k for standard. Can expand from this unit with tunnels, extra chambers, even an outdoor litterbox hut. Your imagination is virtually your only limitation.
